CRITERIA FOR MEMBERSHIPBasic Membership This is open to all current and former members of the Board of Directors of a commercial bank or savings institution. This membership entitles you to receive all of the publications of AABD at significant discounts, to participate in the efforts of AABD to change federal and state banking laws that put bank and savings institution directors at unnecessary risk of personal liability. The basic membership is free upon registration with AABD. Premium Membership This membership is open to all current and former members of the Board of Directors of a commercial bank or savings institution. You are entitled to receive free periodic newsletters, special reports, bi-annual Surveys of Bank and Savings Institution Boards of Directors on director compensation and corporate governance issues, and other AABD publications. The premium membership also provides for participation in all of AABD's substantive committees, discounted registration fees for AABD's annual convention, participation in the director certification program offered through the Institute for Bank Director Education, which may lead to discounts on D&O insurance. The individual premium membership fee is $295 a year, and the group membership (all of the directors on your board) is only $695 a year. The associate membership has all the rights and privileges of a premium membership. The annual membership fee is $750.
